Today, China is increasingly asserting itself in international affairs in order to maintain global peace and international security, international inclusive development, the international environmental agenda and inter-civilizational dialogue, and the renewal of the global governance system in the 21 st century. This review analyzes new monographs exploring the features of the political and legal development of modern China and the expansion of its influence on international relations and international law. Special attention is focused on the discussion about the rise of China and its initiatives – «Belt and Road Initiative», “Community of shared future for mankind”.
