China and international law (Review of the Cambridge handbook of China and international law)

Abstract

The review presents an analysis of numerous articles, mainly articles by Chinese scientists included in the Cambridge Hand book, devoted to the development of interaction between Chinese Law and international law, the influence the People's Republic of China on global governance, international law and order and international relations. The authors of the handbook consider China's key initiatives «One Belt and One Road» and «A Common Future for all mankind»; the relationship between Chinese national law and international law; China's state policy in the field of concluding international treaties, state immunity, and the extraterritorial application of Chinese laws. The views of Chinese scientists on issues related to international peace and security, the development of international law, environmental conservation and climate protection, the development of international economic relations and the settlement of international disputes, etc. are presented.
