The review analyzes the work of Russian civil scientists who study the specifics of the legal regulation of the turnover of such an independent object of civil rights as energy. The specific characteristics of energy as an object of civil turnover are revealed, as well as the views of scientists on contracts in the field of electric power industry and on the definition of “energy” as an object of civil law regulation. The peculiarities of the legal status of subjects in the field of electric energy supply are investigated. Special attention is paid to problematic issues of relations in the supply of electricity to consumer citizens.
