The review examines the issues of legal regulation of conciliation procedures in Russia and abroad. The main attention is paid to the institution of judicial reconciliation, since this institution, first of all, contributes to the peaceful resolution of the dispute that has arisen between the parties. A comparative analysis of the features of the legal regulation of the use of judicial reconciliation in legal families is carried out. Legislative regulation and practice of application of conciliation procedures in the USA are shown.
