The article discusses the concept of the rule of law and the issues of its modern transformation. The article analyzes the ideas of legal statehood in different legal systems, the practice of functioning of the components of legal statehood in the post-Soviet legal space, and the problems of differentiation of the family of socialist law from the point of view of the different attitudes of states to the practice of implementing the principles of the rule of law in modern conditions. It is proposed to create a single international legal document that establishes the principles and foundations of the organization of a rule-oflaw state in a changed multipolar legal environment.
