The review examines certain issues of legal regulation of the turnover of digital financial assets in Russian legislation. The problems of defining and correlating their various types, as well as the complexity of the circulation of cryptocurrencies, are being raised. The points of view and proposals of researchers on the essence and turnover of such non-traditional types of digital financial assets as cryptocurrencies and tokens are analyzed.
