As digital technologies transform public and public life, human rights protection systems are adapting to new challenges and opportunities. This review addresses several key issues.: How digi-talization is changing the application of fundamental human rights, how human rights legislation can respond to digital challenges, how freedom of expression is spreading online, and how digitalization affects vulner-able populations. In the context of the constantly changing communica-tion environment, the opinions of foreign researchers on the transfor-mation of epistemological human rights are presented, reflecting the interdependence of existing fundamental rights and the ability of every-one to act in accordance with their own interests and needs, as well as the needs of society as a whole. These rights are represented in the re-view by the right to freedom of expression, access to information and exchange of knowledge in the context of the media and other mass communications. The different perspectives of scientists help to under-stand the complexities of human rights in the digital age.
