In modern conditions of the refusal of large film com-panies to submit licenses for the distribution of their films in Russia, cinemas are faced with a drop in demand and an outflow of visitors. This began to encourage some of them to use unfair practices of sho-wing foreign films in the absence of rental certificates. The article dis-cusses options for circumventing current legislation, as well as formu-lated proposals for legal measures to support domestic film distribution.
