The discussion of legal scholars on the transformation of legal education in the context of digitalization, its main tasks, present and future is analyzed. Various points of view on the way of its profiling are reflected in order to bridge the gap between market requirements and competencies possessed by many graduates of law faculties. The problems are discussed: what to teach tomorrow's lawyers, how specific knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for legal practice should be developed; how new and traditional legal disciplines should be taught; what are the goals of legal education and others. The trends indicating significant changes in legal education and legal activity caused by the appearance of «onlaw» are revealed.
