International legal problems of climate change

Abstract

The review presents the positions of scientists on various aspects of international legal problems of climate change. The approach of the Russian science of international law to the definition of the principles of international environmental law, to the significance of the climate doctrine of the Russian Federation in its climate and environmental policy is highlighted. The concept of “common obligations of States to mitigate the effects of climate change is presented”. The problems of judicial proceedings in connection with the damage caused by climate change, problems of extraterritorial jurisdiction of states are revealed.
