Abstract
The review examines the importance and role of artificial intelligence in the framework of environmental protection and, in
particular, in the field of climate change. the author analyzes the new opportunities that technologies provide in terms of solving this problem, such as enhancing environmental monitoring, improving resource efficiency, supporting climate adaptation and mitigation strategies. The review also highlights the shortcomings of the use of artificial intelligence, in particular, the lack of accountability and transparency, bias and discrimination.
